Hello,

Next to tablet, for a stand-alone monitor for walls, e.g. in the kitchen or hotel lobby, which cheap/small device would support Ubuntu and could offer an S-video, VGA, or HDMI (or alt.)?

Nodm is likely used for these purposes.

For the moment, I think that the lowest prices that I could find is around $170-185.

The size of the monitor is also depend and could be indicated if you have any possible ideas.

Thanks a lot !

Happy New Year 2012 with Linux !

As of right now, Ubuntu won't be supported on the Raspberry Pi, since the Raspberry Pi is based on A6 architecture.

You may want to look at this unit (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/12/meet-cubox-a-tiny-arm-powered-media-centre-capable-of-running-ubuntu/), instead.

it can run debian which is close enough for most things.

Maybe it is, indeed, "close enough", but the OP specifically asked about Ubuntu.
