printer help

ubuntu 11.10 on dell inspiron 600 with 60 gb hdd, 1000 mb ram, intel pentium r 1.73 ghz, have been trying to install hp laserjet 10 12, d/l driver from hp and followed install dir, c/l said it could not find file. finally got file open, and printer seemed to install, listed twice under printers, 1 has gold star, 1has green check. comp sent 3 test pages but nothing printed. then tried to install by changing uri, printer printed a page:

go to your software center and install 'HPLIP Toolbox' ... no need to mess with drivers anymore!
