or maybe even how to do something similar with this background: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs39/f/2008/348/8/1/Ubuntu_Studio_Wallpaper_by_Ofdirfska.png

Already did a search, couldn't find exactly what i was looking for.

I'm using ubuntu studio 10.04 lucid lynx.

Yes, this is purely for vanity reasons. I'm a videojournalist and graphic designer, so I love ubuntu studio. Just want to show my loyalty to the brand.

Hi

Ubuntu Studio 11.10, Oneiric Ocelot, is a release switching to XFCE, so I don't think these themes can be used. The release is not finished yet, as stated in the release notes:

It's probably not the answer you would like, but a new artwork is probably in development, take a look at the wiki, UbuntuStudio/Artwork page

Well, for this, you have to dig deeper in gdm simple gritter. But remember, the version of gdm for first picture is not the same as in 10.04. Change of wallpaper, however, is a pice of cake.

For changing the GDM loging screen for GDM2 (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS versions) check here: https://sites.google.com/site/tipsandtricksforubuntu/system-tips/gdm2setup

For Ubuntu 11.10 check here: https://sites.google.com/site/tipsandtricksforubuntu/system-tips/lightdm

Ubuntu 11.10 doesn't use GDM any longer since it is been replaced by LightDM.
