I'm running Ubuntu 10.10, I'm the admin and there are two other user accounts for family members to use in emergency, so my user is the only one that's actually in use.

A couple of months ago I logged in OK, but my system asked for my keyring password whenever I did anything - load a browser, download email, open the calendar.

I dug about for an answer, but most of the suggestions for a cure involve instruction and commands that I don't really understand, and I'm always reluctant to type stuff when I don't know what it's doing!

So I can log in with my password no problems, but keyring doesn't like that password. I haven't changed the keyring password manually. Shouldn't my login and my keyring password be the same? I've been afraid to use the system > pref> password change option in case I can't log in at all!
