Hi,

open up a standard Thunar and on the left you will see a list of "important" icons such as "Downloads", "Music", etc I do not have these in my home folder but on an external drive (that I do not want to mount into home). Is there some way to customize these shortcuts? Is there are way to add additional shortcuts and remove those that I do not need?

Take a folder and drag it into the shortcut space to create a new shortcut. Right-click -> "remove shortcut" will remove the existing shortcut. You can also drag the existing shortcuts up and down to sort them.

I have shortcuts plenty of partitions on separate drives, however, if you make a shortcut to an external HDD that isn't always mounted, then the shortcut may not work.
