What do we mean when we say "I'm bored"? Do we mean that we have nothing to do or that we don't want to do anything? Can it mean both? Would be cool to hear how it is in different languages.

When I was young it meant Sunday.

I used to swear blind that you'd know it was Sunday anywhere in the Universe.

There's never nothing to do in this world.

To me, boredom is when there's a lot to do, but I can't decide what.

For me, it means I haven't figured out something interesting to do. There may be interesting things to do at the moment, but I have either intentionally ignored them or else I'm just not aware of them at the moment.

Ouch.

Boredom occurs when a person believes what they are doing is not stimulating.

Be careful - it was said that "Those who the gods wish to destroy, they first make bored!

Never been bored or at least never thought I was bored. Had a business partner once who made me think he might be the perfect example of what it meant to be bored.

Boredom is the feeling you get when you lack something (productive) to do and we lack the motivation to find something to do.
