Never ran into this difficulty before, but I cannot seem to get any applications to remember where I put their windows or what size I wanted them to be, if they are being started from Unity.
They are not starting up in full screen mode, but neither are they 'remembering' their size and location from when they were closed.
Is there an internal setting - which is not getting updated when they are adjusted and then closed? This has been part of 'how things are' for so long that I can't think where to begin.
Is this a Gnome 3 thing? A Unity thing? An override setting somewhere else that I missed? Any help appreciated, as I thought I was getting close to a workable Unity system....
