Mupen64Plus not playing games with (vX.X) in the name.

For some reason on Mupen64Plus any time I attempt to use a ROM with (v#.#) in the name the status is 0 stars. On other emulators for Windows they work fine and it seems a little wierd it only happens to ROMs with a version in the name. Does anyone know a fix for this?
