I had used Ubuntu10.04,at that time i can active num-area with quick key(hot key) Ctrl+Alt+Numlock.
But when i upgraded to ubuntu 11.10,the desktop is not gnome,it is Unity, and the hot key is ineffect.
My english is some poor,I hope you can understand.
I need your help!
Thank you !

You can have the gnome environment in 11.10 if it will help. Open a terminal and enter:
sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback

To enable toggling of mousekeys with shift+numlock
go to system settings > keyboard layout
and click on the options button.
Enable as shown in attachment.
