Upgrade from to Natty to Oneric, Errors in the upgrade. now I can't change anything. The root password has either been dropped or changed. I go into single user mode, and try to do passwd, but get the "Authentication Token Manipulation Error". I am able to login to my two users on the pc, as they have no passwords set up and automatic login. But I'm unable to change anything! arrrgghhh!! I've searched the forums, and found others with similar problems but not with root. Any Ideas? Am I going to have to do a clean install? Sorry if I missed an answer but I'm starting to panic. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, You're our only hope!
