locked screen

another issue i've had is the "locking screen".

i noticed that whenever i left my computer idle for a while, the screen would not turn back on from standby.

after exploring my settings, i found out how to turn it on and off -

but how are you supposed to use it?

Just got to system setting , screen and move slider to off is showing.

I've experienced the same problem with my Ubuntu installs. I just disabled the screensaver (which fixed the problem, but obviously then you don't have a screensaver), but there are some other solutions in this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/781402

I think so if you are in and office environment are some place where there are other people when you leave your PC it locks it so no one can use your PC.

you enter your user's password... why you don't have a text field showing up? did you try to move the mouse or press some keys?

when the lock setting is on, i can't do anything - the screen won't come off standby.
