Hi,
I have 11.10 running on a Dell Dimension 1100 with the latest BIOS (A01). If I set the screen to turn off after any time, e.g. 3 minutes, the system freezes and the only way to get it back is to turn it OFF and ON again. If I set the screen off to "NEVER" then the problem does not occur. Reading some older postings, I tried setting "acpi=off" but it messes up the screen resolution. I would appreciate any help.
