Hi,

I am running Gnome 3 on ubuntu 11.10.

In the file manager, when I click a drive under 'Devices', Gnome 3 always pop up a dialog saying 'open with files of eject' and then I need to click 'open with files'.

My question is there a way to configure gnome 3 not to do that? I am in file manager already, clicking 1 drive should show the content on the right pane. Why it still ask me 'open with files?

Thank you.

This has always annoyed me too in gnome-shell. The solution above is the best available solution but not perfect because it disables all autorun programs but I (and presumably the OP here) just want to stop that silly gnome-shell notification popup for this clearly redundant case. We are already in Nautilus - why does gnome-shell have to prompt us to open Nautilus again?
