Hey guys, I'm trying to install 10.04 alternate on my lenovo netbook from a flash drive using unetbootin and nothing is working. With just an iso unetbootin install the install complains of no cdrom drive. I looked around on google and found two workarounds for this issue and neither have worked. The first one here http://www.coliena.com/blog/2010/05/how-to-install-ubuntu-10-04-on-a-netbook-with-full-disk-encryption/ gives me an error when I try mount /mnt/ubuntu-10.04-alternate-i386.iso /cdrom/ it says error or something and if i reissue the command it will then say its busy and will just keep alternating between those outputs. The second method found here http://wh1sk3yj4ck.wordpress.com/2010/08/11/installing-ubuntu-alternate-10-04-from-a-usb-drive/ bypasses the cdrom issue but after mounting the iso image gives me a kernel modules mismatch error. I used the 10.04_HdMedia option in unetbootin 563 and let unetbootin download the files and then copied the alternate iso to the root as directed. Anyone know how to fix this?
