View Full Version : [ubuntu] Windows move slowly; rotate 1 screen?

Hi, I have Ubuntu 11.04 without unity, with an nvidia card that's a few years old, and two monitors, a 28" and a 24" that I set as twinview in nvidia driver, with color depth 24.

Everything works really great except that window movement is slow and choppy. I looked in compiz config settings, I was thinking if there's a way to move just a window outline, that might speed things up but there was no option for that.

Is there anything else I can do to improve windows movement?

In addition, I have an option in nvidia driver to rotate the screen, but it applies to both monitors (because it's twinview?). I would like to rotate just one monitor of the two. How can I do that?

Thanks!

Hi, I think you have two issues.

1. In classic mode compiz needs to be reverted to the previous version here is a link.

2. This link should fix the choppyness after you do the first procedure.
