I have tried everything

http://askubuntu.com/questions/80943/how-to-downgrade-kernel

http://askubuntu.com/questions/81900/how-do-i-remove-kernel-3-1-that-i-added-via-a-ppa

http://askubuntu.com/questions/71139/how-to-downgrade-the-kernel-on-11-10

I went to synaptic but still.....

O.k the real problem is that my laptop cant read or confirm that there is a Disk "CD" or "DvD" in it.

So i read that the new kernal gives that problem & that i have to downgrade to fix that problem..

I already downloaded the 2.6 & can only activate it by going to the grub.

Anybody that had the same problem & got it fixed??

If you can boot older kernel then in synaptic search box type linux-image and all your kernels will be listed.Delete one you want (and headers too) and after restart you will boot in your old kernel.

I have been trying to do that but everytime i want to remove it. It auto installs version 3.0 so is there any opcion like forced or something??
