Favourites for Thunar?

I have two issues with Thunar:

1. Side pane network shortcuts disappear after a reboot.

2. The lack of a 'bookmarks' menu wherein I could save shortcuts to remote connections.

Are there any solutions? If so, I'm one step closer to ejecting Nautilus. (Fully, were it not for Dropbox. Damn you, Dropbox.)

1. Can't be done, sorry. Use Gigolo to bookmark network locations.

2. Manage bookmarks in the side pane . Ctl-B for Bookmarks, Ctl-T for the tree view. You can drag and drop, remove and rename them. To get to bookmarks quickly, just click the drop down button on the location bar.

I'd forgotten about Gigolo - works perfectly. I connect from a Bookmark then manage text files with Gedit and its 'Bookmarks' side-pane which are persistent. All good.
