I have installed xubuntu 11.04 with xfce 4.8 on a 8 gig usb key. My intent is to use such a key as a pocket system wherever I would go.

I would like to boot up to desktop without passing thru the live disk menu.

I can see that the media:/sdc1/syslinux/txt.cfg or /media/disk/syslinux/dtmenu.cfg are some of the config file for the menu of the livecd.

How could I modify such a file so to boot up to desktop without passing thru the live disk menu? Thus saving precious time at each bootup.

Thanks.

Did you do a persistent install?
