Folks:

I have attempted to install Ubuntu 11.10 numerous times on both a 4 and a 8 GB USB (32-bit and 64-bit version.) Everything works after installation. I can configure the browser and its addons plus a networked printer without any problem. I can keep on re-using the installation. However, when I UPDATE the installation, everything goes to Hell! The following are some of the problems I have observed the following problems, neither in any order nor altogether:

Sound Failure
Network Failure
Browser Failure
Linux Kernel Image 3.xx
Linux ++ (can't remember the message)
Linux Generic Header
Incessant Inode Issues during boot up
Trying to Connect to Network. Sleep for 5s during boot up.
Unattended upgrade.
Partial Upgrade

I have re-install the USB over and over and over and tried upgrading with only the Security Service Option without the Recommended Option turned ON too, but the same result persisted. This version has not been a good experience, for me at least. I will use my tried and true LTS 10.04 version and waiting for the next LTS 12.04!
