when I try to Hibernate my Pc 'CTRL + ALT + DEL' nothing happens and the screen goes blank like it is 'Locking' the account .

hello there,

Well Simply because those keys combinations are assigned to logout by default :) you can check the shortcuts already assigned by going to system- preferences-keyboard shortcuts. from there you can also make you own short cut.

I tried to see manuals for "shutdown" but there was no Hibernate option ...I googled that and Found a Hibernate cmd I installed it and unfortunately lost my swap but that is not the point ...is there is any command to save my session on my HDD and shutdown the system ???
