ubuntu 11.10 installation problem

when I install any package using terminal with apt-get install command ,I get the error saying :

Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package gtypist

Please help.

Try search for what you want to install with synaptic package manager instead..

sudo apt-get install synaptic
gksu synaptic
