What is a Wiki? Man took me forever to figure out what a blog was , now this!

All this time of using Wikis and I never knew it has Portland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland_Pattern_Repository), Oregon connections (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ward_Cunningham).\\:D/

So what keeps me from goin ginto the wikipedia and changing the entry for "Ohio River" to read "Go away or I shall taunt you a second time!"

I don't like the name. Wiki. Wiki, wiki. Sounds like the Budweiser ferret.

Remember the lizards? "Wiki, wiki? What's that mean, Frankie?"

Maybe they should have called it lightpost, or Penelope.

A wiki is simply a system where anyone can add, or edit articles. Such as http://wiki.ubuntulinux.org

"Wiki wiki" comes from the Hawaiian word, which means "quick" or "super-fast"

Absolutely nothing. You could do that right now if you wanted to (though I would hope you wouldn't). It would be reverted back in about 30 seconds, though, because the enormous number of people working on Wikipedia would notice that you just deleted an entire article...
