View Full Version : [SOLVED] Panel and launcher do not hide when using full screen

When using applications in full screen, the launcher and panel do not hide. This causes part of the application not to be visible.

It happens when the screensaver starts; when I use F11 to go full-screen with Firefox; when viewing a video full-screen with VLC or while using YouTube (which means I cannot press the pause or play button); and so on.

See the attached screen shot of VLC in full screen -- the pause button is inaccessible underneath the rubbish bin.

The panel and launcher used to hide correctly, which makes me think it could be some setting in Compiz that I might have changed without realising.

Do you know how I can fix this?

I have discovered the problem.

When using the cube, in Compiz you need to set:
Desktop > Deskcop Cube > Transparent Cube > Opacity When Not Rotating> 100

Don't ask me why!
