I am having the issue that sometimes when I open a file, for example a word document, the file opens but the Unity launcher does not show that the program is running. If I minimize the window I have no way of bringing it back since there is no window shown on the launcher and using alt+tab does not work either. It seems as if the program window is not being recognized even though it is running. It doesn't happen all the time and seems to occur at random. I'm running Ubuntu 11.10
I've posted a screen shot showing what I mean. The libre office window is clearly running but the launcher only shows one program running which is Chromium. I've tried searching for someone else having the same issue but haven't come across any posts.
