Hello,

I was trying to get Thunderbird to show notifications and I installed Cairo, Compiz and Xfce goodies and settings.

I still can't show how many emais, but now I have broken the desktop, I have totally removed Cairo, Compiz and Xfce goodies and settings.

Now when I right click on the desktop I can not change the backgroud, I get this instead , how do I fix it ? -

This is Openbox Menu.
After installing Compiz, have you changed the Window Manager-Settings?

Hi,
You didn't answer my other questions. Anyway, before you login, are you sure you are NOT logging in to Openbox Session? make sure to login to the default one. If you are already logging in to the default session which is Lubuntu, then you must have changed some settings after installing Compiz. Compiz is a Window Manager and it should replace Openbox on Lubuntu so it will work. This is as far as I know but perhaps I'm wrong. Never tried Compiz on LXDE/Lubuntu but I'm willing to.

My man. Try Alt+F2 and the type pcmanfm --desktop-pref
in the box and the enter. That should allow you to change back.

I'm just passing on stuff that I discovered. It is sort of legalized plagiarism. Someone helps someone else and you read about it and pass it on. Have fun.
