View Full Version : [lubuntu] How To Add Shortcuts To LXDE main menu?

LXDE has a main menu. I want to add my frequently used documents to this menu.

So it would look like
Marinara's Documents/document1
Marinara's Documetns/document2
Marinara's Documents/etc...

I just want to add my text files and shell scripts that I use daily to this menu. Like I was adding a shortcut to them. How can I do this?

Here, you have the link: http://wiki.lxde.org/en/LXDE:Questions#How_do_I_add_custom_sub-menu_and.2For_launcher_to_LXDE.27s_main_menu.3F for adding apps and sub-menu to your main menu in LXDE.

yeah that works if you want to enter command lines into alacarte.

I'll take the silence as a negative answer. There is no way to create a shortcut to a document without typing a program name and document path into the command thingy.

Here's a GUI editor that will let you do what you're asking. Just add the app and document path as a new entry; e.g., leafpad home/linuxgod/docs/support iluvlxde.txt
