Hi there,

Is it poosible to in some way activate a panorama wallpaper laping two screens or maybe split a panorama pic in half and, somehow, activate dual wallpaper, of some sort?
I'm running 11.10 x64..

I've actually found a few guids out there but they are slightly different when being below 11.10, so I can't really sort it out..

Compiz allows for a different wallpaper on each work space . There were some desktop animations available for older versions of Ubuntu , but have not looked into them since 10.10 .

Yes, that much I know..
Been doing some Compiz costumizing but no success.. Downloaded the 'wallpaper' Compiz plug-in, but I have problem to actually execute the addon, if you know what I mean.. I know how to set it up but I can't really apply the settings! -_-

Any guide or similar would be most appreciated. :)

Alright, from the links above I was able to sort out a panorama wallpaper, stretching across two screens, but only if I have "Have file manager handle the desktop" disabled.. But with that option unchecked I'm not able to use the desktop to anything else than viewing a pretty picture, all the icons disappear!

Is there a way to use a panorama wallpaper/different wallpapers on each monitor and still being able to use the desktop?
