Xubuntu 10.04 with all current updates. Nokia C3-00, ASUS EeePC 901 with built in bluetooth.
Can someone please recommend a bluetooth manager and all associated packages for vanilla (ie gnome free) Xubuntu?
Background to the problem.
I've tried both the Gnome bluetooth but that seems to need an Obex compatible ftp client to enable browsing the files on the phone. The default is to use Nautilus to display files on the phone, which is not installed.
I also tried the Gtk Bluetooth utility but this also failed to do anything when I clicked on browse device option.
In both cases the two devices were paired (apparently).
I had bluetooth file sharing running on this EeePC and browsed files on the Nokia. But that was with an install that was converted form Gnome Ubuntu to Xubuntu. I'm assuming that install had some relevant gnome packages installed that allowed file browsing over gnome-bluetooth to work.
