Hi all,

I'm attempting to install 11.10 via wubi but I'm having a problem. It does it's thing in Windows absolutely fine and then prompts me that it needs to reboot in order to finish the installation.

It's at this point where the problem occurs. Very slowly lines of text appear as the installation process progresses but at a certain point it just stops and I'm left starring at the same line of text for an hour (before I get bored and have to restart the PC).

Am I being impatient? Should I leave it longer? Any tips?

Something like this happened to a friend . Instead of rebooting I just depressed the power button slightly and this broke the gridlock and the computer booted into Ubuntu . I don't know what caused the pause .
