I was working out my problem described in my last thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1887731) with a googlubuntu link someone gave me and one of the solutions needs me to reboot into Ubuntu 11.10 recovery mode, so I tried doing that, and then I see a menu called "Limited Read Only Menu" and some options, but I have no idea how to select one! Does my keyboard not work in recovery mode?

Oh, wait! I didn't mean over there. I meant over here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1539678). Sorry. And never mind about the googlubuntu link.

Anyway, the monitor instructions assume that I have an Xorg.conf file. I followed instructions to create an Xorg.conf file here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/4662/where-is-the-x-org-config-file-how-do-i-configure-x-there), but it needs me to go into Recovery mode. I tried that, but I have no idea how to use recovery mode. When I boot into Recovery mode, I see a menu called Limited Read-Only Menu, and some options, but I don't know how to select an option! Oh, by the way, I need to get in the Root Shell in Recovery Mode.

Hope that helps! And sorry about the "not enough info" thing. I'm just spacing out today.

I tried using the arrow keys, the scroll wheel, and the tab button, and they didn't work.
