hi,
i am using ubuntu 10.10 on an Asus 1201n.
when i am copying folder from an external device (flash drive / wxternal hard disk) to my machine or from the machine to the external device, most of the times the process bar appears, runs for a while, and then everything on the screen dissapears (including the windows, the desktop icons) and after few seconds the desktop icons apear again but the windows which i was copying from and to are not showing and i have to open them again.
sometimes the copying process is completed and sometims not.
i am using the gnome desktop, my system is up to date.
any idea what makes it happen and what is the solution ?
