Just updated the kernel to 2.6.32-36 gerneric and my ati card funtions ceased to work. I couldn't set the fan speed or read the temp of the card. I could get into ati catalyst CC and change color and brightness. Moving the windows caused bad lag and tearing. I did a quick purge and reload of the latest drivers (about 5 min work) and all is well now but is this a common occurrence after an update? Also is there an easier way other than reloading the drivers?
