After a few years of using Ubuntu I have final registered on Ubuntu forums.
Usually any ubuntu answer I need is available in google's first search response;this time its the opposite.
I have several desktop environments installed on my Ubuntu mating that I usually only access via SSH. As default its set to use Kubuntu but whenever I log in via RDP I get a totally useless environments that shows only chat, network connections and date/time in a plain grey task bar with no other icons on the entire session.
If I go into the depths of the attic to find the machine and plug in a monitor I can access any installed environments,
Any idea how to resolve this so RDP becomes useful again (preferably via terminal).
Thanks
