How do you set KDE 4.7 to have icons like windows on your desktop.

Hi, I am wondering how one would go about setting their kde desktop to have icons like windows on the desktop and not in a folder view? Thanks, any help would be appreciated and I am running Kubuntu 11.10.

right click on your desktop, select folder view settings, in the view tab change the layout to folder view. you should then be able to add icons on the desktop similar to windows
