View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to DOWNgrade from Maverick to Lucid?

We're trying to get all our servers on the same LTS version. I have a couple that are on Maverick (10.10). What would be the process to get these on the same LTS as all the others? It would be a DOWNgrade.

and my personal opinion is to do a fresh install, there is no magic solution.

you are not that far from the 12.04 LTS

if you want to downgrade better to do a fresh install

In terms of what we are trying to get going, it is an eternity. And that would also mean upgrading more machines earlier. And one difficulty is that this is being done 2500 miles away via ssh.

I'm going to move this particular issue aside here, because other more serious issues are taking too much time and need to be resolved first. I will post back later (probably about 4 weeks) to see if someone who knows more than I do about the packaging system can figure out how to make it work.
