View Full Version : [ubuntu] Need help to install Ubuntu Server 11.10 - 64 Bit

Hi Friends,

i am new to Ubuntu and last day i was try to install Ubuntu Server 11.10 - 64 Bit, but i was face problem in two place. one is HDD partition another one is software installing time.

i want this Ubuntu server for my internet cafe squid proxy server and DHCP. so please any one help me about this issue.

01. What is good partition method for squid proxy server and how to configure full step ?

02. other step for install the package and software.

My PC is core i2, 4GB RAM, SATA 320GB HDD.

Thanks for reply and i want know about which type of partition better to good performance to squid proxy server. how to do. (320 GB SATA HDD). this only for squid proxy and DHCP.

type of partition and step by step how to make the that partition.

When I installed squid on my existing server, I didn't see the need to set up a separate partition. :confused:
