I am a lunix noob, I had my TV set up as a secondary monitor, it took some doing but I got it to how I wanted it. I have decided I want to use my TV as a primary display now, and I think I screwed something up along the way. My fonts are super small, as in even if you are an inch away cannot make out most of the letters, I switched to gnome desktop and used the zoom feature, and then the text is a little smaller than normal. Funny thing is if I put my main monitor back in, the fonts are readable. I’m not changing the DVI slots either. I have a 9800gt. Is there a way to completely reset my desktop environments without reinstalling?

The quickest way to see if a reset of all settings solves the problem, is to create a new user account. The new user will have all settings at their defaults. You can then log in as the new user and check if things are working for you.

Have you tried messing with moniters in System-prefrences-Moniters?????
