So from my many ignorant posts about Gnome here on the DE forum, it's probably become fairly obvious that I don't have much of a clue about how Gnome works. However I'd really like to learn more about it. How to edit the shell, how to fix broken stuff, and basically acquire a good understanding of how the whole Gnome shell works. I think I'd like to make Gnome my Linux "major" so to speak, so as to be able to actually contribute usefully to this forum, among other things.

So all that to say, does anyone know of any good resources from which one could learn about the Gnome shell, looking glass, extension writing, etc.? Thanks a lot!
