TV Out Probelm

I have the usual TV and PC set up

TV is on the left

When I try to enable the TV my task bar and desktop icons switch over to the TV, which I don't want. I have tried for ages going through different settings,

How can I enable my TV and keep the task bar and icons on the monitor.

I just like dragging films over to the TV and keep control of the box on the monitor ?

Which kind of connections are you using for the PC monitor and the TV?

I have a card with dual DVI connections, the order of the connections matters in my case. One of the DVI output will always be the primary monitor (booting information, and the ones that go to text mode when pressed Alt-Ctrl-F1).

I have a DVI VGA and HDMI

DVI to Monitor and HDMI to TV

I also use separate X screens. That way I avoid tearing problems, and it is easier use the TV (wireless keyboard and mouse) with the monitor off.

Just some thoughts.
