I have a AMD A6-3410 MX processor with a 4 GB RAM. My Windows 7 reports that it can support a 64 bit operating system and cpu-z (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html) reports that it supports the "x88-64" instruction set.

I am planning to move to a 64 bit Ubuntu (from my existing 32 bit Ubuntu) to use all of my 4 GB RAM.

Will Ubuntu 64 bit OS go well with this processor?

Ubuntu 64bit will work fine with any 64bit CPU, and most CPUs are 64bit since years ago.

However, I'm still not sure that the graphics integrated into the A6 is yet recognized correctly in Ubuntu. I have seen one person on the forum saying he has problems with A6-3510MX.

Try running the ubuntu cd in live mode first to see if it will load correctly.
