I notice that this morning some updates are popping up showing that there is apparently a version #8 of Firefox that can be installed on my Natty version of Ubuntu.

Also one of the related updates makes mention of something to do with "Unity".

If I install these updates is it going to mess up my good old Gnome interface like Ubuntu has done on the most recent version of Ubuntu 11.10 ?

Thanks.

There was a problem porting FF8 to 11.04 and 11.10 it will appear in the update manager when it is sorted out . FF8 is available via PPA for 10.04 and 10.10 .
