Hi,
I want to install Matlab on ubuntu 11.10.
I have it on a cd and I used to work with it on windows.
Do I need to download a new version of Matlab that supports ubuntu? And if yes, where can I find it?
If not, how can I install it?
I looked in all kinds of forums but with no success.
Thanks,
Noam

The matlab/mathworks website.

There is a version of Matlab for linux, so the windows installation cd will not work. However, the linux version is easy to install, just make sure to use the sudo command when installing.
If you want a legal version you should indeed check with mathworks/matlab. Perhaps you can use the same product key on a linux version.

Cheers,
Bob
