View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gnome wont start after upgrade to 11.04

Hello All

i have just made a upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04 and everything went on well but after restarting my computer as final step of upgrading i have tried to open gnone terminal and it wont open actually it only shows in the launcher when i try opening it what could be the problem and how can i fix this. its the only thing that does not work after upgrading.

When it shows in the launcher, can you use Alt-Tab to get it open?

By the way, your Subj: line should have said "Gnome Terminal," not "Gnome."

Thank you for this advise, first i have changed the title of this thread as per your advise and then also tried ALT-TAB but still can't get it out to display, another thing i have realized is that when i try opening it all my existing open programs/windows loss the that top bar that has the icons for maximise, minimise and close
