When I upgraded to to 11.10 I have had an intermittent problem with ubuntu freezing on me but have been to lazy to enquire about it now after the kernel upgrade I still have the freezing problem but also have loss of sound. I've checked all the sound settings and they look fine, the same settings as they were before.
I would appreciate some help in sorting these problems out if any one what the solution is.
Oh by the way using gnome not unity.
