Hats off, that's awesome. Better yet, Google predicted Android would run on all kinds of machines.

What? Why? Is it portable? How long does the battery last?

Also I imagine if it's multitouch there can be amazing applications by using both hands (or other appendages).

I recently saw an article that explained how to do that yourself. Basically you put a computer connected to a projector inside a box that has a transparent top. You make a grid of infra-red transmitters and receivers to create the touch surface. That is putting it simple, I know. But it would be a good way to get the same effect without spending a fortune on a very large LED screen.

Regards.

It sounds like an Improv Everywhere mission - using a 65 inch "tablet" on the train.

not really a 65" tablet but rather a standard tegra-2 android tablet connected to a 65" touch capable monitor.

Granted there was probably a fare bit of work involved to get the tablet to respond to the input from the 65" screen but this is still a docked tablet rather than a self contained system.

It's to compete with Microsoft Surface, which is FINALLY releasing.

Not a biggy, the technology to do this has been out for a long time. Its just the hardware cost has been so high, that with the push for so many tablets now the cost of touch screens has went down while the quality has went up. Its a win win for consumers like us.
