View Full Version : [SOLVED] GRUB doesn't detect USB keyboard

November 19th, 2011, 12:12 PM

I have a dual boot PC running Windows XP and Ubuntu.
When I get to the GRUB I can't select what OS to use as my keyboard is unresponsive.

The keyboard I'm using is a Logitech G510 which is a USB keyboard. However, when I use an old PS/2 connection keyboard I can select what OS to boot into. The PS/2 keyboard is loaned from a relative who is wanting it back ASAP so having that keyboard present at all times isn't an option, it clutters the place up too.

So, I guess my question is;
How do I get my USB keyboard to work in GRUB?

Argh... I should have my own private forum lol.
Doesn't matter what problem I have or what forum I use; within minutes of posting a thread I solve the problem.

I had to go to the BIOS and enable the USB Legacy Keyboard support option.
