Hi, I have recently upgraded to Lucid Lynx (LTS)

After installation and rebooting my Wifi was gone. I am using a Belkin F6F4050 USB Modem. Last time, I did get it working on Karmik Koala by posting a piece of code into my terminal of which I don't even know what it was but it worked. Now, I can't find it again.

Now, I wonder should I simply upgrade again and hopping it will sort the problem (this time from CD) or buy a new USB Wifi modem ? Any Suggestions !?

The reason for upgrading was originally, because I would like to get my Vodafone Mobile internet working, and Betavine did not support an earlier version than Lucid Lynix. It still don't work. - I can't install depending packages, because I have no internet. Betavine was very disappointing, I would have thought they provide this on a single download , but their homepage provides only their Betavine itself.

However, I booted the new Oneiric Ocelot from CD Rom and I actually like it. The Vodafone Mobile Broadband Dongle K3570/K3571-Z worked out of the box. Now, I feel like to install the Oneiric Ocelot. The only problem is, I have too many applications, which I would have to re-install. I don't see it yet as an option.

I also heard the new Ubuntu supports the Railink 5390 chip. Should I simply buy a USB Wifi dongle with this chip ? But how can I find out which products have this chip ?

Any Suggestions welcome.
Thank you for you help !
Claus
