Looking for a small PC with LINUX or better Ubuntu

Hi,

I have a small HP Mini with Ubuntu. It works fine. But it's too big. I would be happy to buy something of a size about max. 16-17 cm x max. 9-10 cm.

I saw that the HTC could run Ubuntu but it looks small, too small, and kinda slow, and not like a real pc.

What about the Sony Vaio UX-model ? Can it run ubuntu?

what about the asus eee 7 in? that was the first mini i bought. I used it for work. I could drop it in the cargo pocket of my BDU's. I connected wireless from the internal from about half a mile. FWIW i may just have been in a lucky spot.
I got a steal of a deal on it . I bought it for 125.00 almost new because it had the Japanese version of windows on it. With in 2 hrs of it being delivered it had Ubuntu 8.04 on it , It took two hours because i tried the net book remix first. I never looked back. i used it to trouble shoot the wifi at the resort i worked at. Many many times i could connect when windows users couldnt.

Currently i have an asus 1005 dual booted superos 10.10 and ubuntu 11.04. it runs almost 24/7 with no problems.

just a note on your title, Ubuntu is Linux, Linux is a kernel around many companies build a Linux Distro, Ubuntu is canonicals offering to the linux world built around the Linux Kernel.

But i am being pedantic about your title but though i would point that out to clear up any confusion you may have ;-)

well, one could install Ubuntu or Debian on anythg.


Well, ok, but which device would have such size with a big screen :

Dimensions: 155 x 80 x <20 millimetres
Mass: less than 200 grams (battery included)

This size is ideal and would be perfect for me. Anything that can run Linux. Would you know please such a device ?

Is it slow with Linux on it?

A touchscreen with cool apps could be cool and lot of apps. isnt it maemoo better than this gnome like application for use?

Well it is small seeing as its primary function is to be a telephone.

Smaller and lighter means less powerful, more power = more size and weight, that is just how the cookie crumbles.
