Hello all,
Sorry about this simplicity of this, I feel apprehensive asking this, and do it only after finding no results from searching here and googling.
I have an app, Eclipse 3.5 (IDE - programming development environment), installed ... Synaptic recognises that it's there. I wish to upgrade to Eclipse 3.7 ... so I go to Synaptic and find it can't find it by going "Ctrl-R" on the 3.5.
So then I download the .zip file from the Eclipse site and unpack it on the desktop... and the executable runs... and Eclipse 3.7 is up and running... but how do I get Synaptic to adopt this newcomer and supplant the resident 3.5 version as its "registered" version?
Thanks
