I apologize if this has already been asked, but I could not find an answer that would help me anywhere. I just installed Ubuntu today, and have limited experience with Linux, so some of the help files I found have gone over my head. I installed gimp from the Ubuntu Software Center and this is what happened:

gimp: error while loading shared libraries: libart_lgpl_2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

How can I correct this? I have already removed and reinstalled it once, and that did not help.

Thanks :)
